FRAMINGHAMM – Frederick C. Bastien, Sr., 89, of Framingham died, Sunday April 30, 2017 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham.
Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Homer N. and Elizabeth (Molander) Bastien.
He was the husband to the late Josephine (Hawes) Bastien who died in 1999.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Bastien worked as a truck driver for the Dennison Manufacturing Co. and a proud member of the Golden Rays at St. Tarcisius Church in Framingham.
He is survived by his children, Mary L. Drinkwater of Framingham, David Bastien of NH, Frederick Bastien, Jr. of Marlborough, Robert Bastien of Framingham and June Pessini of Milford; 5 grandchildren, Susie Bastien, Nicholas Bastien, Michelle Drinkwater, William Drinkwater and JoLie Drinkwater; and 8 Great grandchildren. Also, survived by his sister Marie Moran of Chatham.
He was the brother to the late Edward Bastien, Jr. and Homer Bastien.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his funeral on Thursday, May 4 at 9 a.m. from the Norton Funeral Home in Framingham, follow by his funeral Mass at 10 a.m. AM in St. Stephen’s Church in Framingham. Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery, Framingham.
Visiting hours at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street, will be Wednesday from2 to 4 p.m.
