FRAMINGHAM – More than 40 vehicles will participate in a charity ride to benefit the Suau family of Framingham and #WhyNotDevin on Sunday, May 7.
Mass Velocity is hosting an exotic and classic car ride from Framingham through Central Massachusetts and back to Framingham.
Vehicle participating in the ride were asked to make a $50 donation in Devin Suau’s honor.
Devin is battling DIPG and inoperable and at the moment incurable brain tumor. His family is hoping he will be the first to defeat DIPG and launched the hashtag #WhyNotDevin.
Ted Yerardi organized the event. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the charity ride will go to the Suau family.
The charity ride leaves from CJ’s northside Grill at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend the send-off from 9 to 10 a.m.
The Massachusetts State Police will escort the vehicles from Framingham, through Central Massachusetts, and back to Shoppers World in Framingham.
The event is rain or shine.
The ride will end at Olive Garden in Shoppers World about 1 p.m., where the drivers will have lunch.
The public can view the automobiles at Shoppers World after 1 p.m.
“This is a day to give back and give gratitude for things we take for granted, please assist in making this day special and memorable for all those that love and care for Devin,” said Yerardi.
Updated on May 6 to include that the event is rain or shine.
