Mary (Sullivan) DiManno, 89

FRAMINGHAM – Mary P. (Sullivan) DiManno, 89, a longtime resident of Framingham, died peacefully in her sleep, at her home of 55 years, April 18, 2017.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late John & Florence (Dibbons) Sullivan, and the cherished wife of the late Ardito “Archie” DiManno.

Always active in her Framingham community, she was the former Chairwoman of the Framingham School Committee, was a member and former Secretary and Treasurer for the Greater Boston Women’s Bowling League,  a Den Mother to local Cub Scouts, taught CCD at St. George Parish, a Boston area landlord for many years, as well as the proprietor of Ardito’s Beauty Salon.  Though she held many positions in life, by far her most important was that of wife, mother and nana.

She is survived by her children, Richard of Fitchburg, Michelle Manning & her husband Thomas of Berwick, ME, Nancie of Framingham, and Michael & his wife Melissa of Hudson, nine grandchildren, her brother John Sullivan of NY, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Mary was predeceased by her son Marc, and her loving sisters Flo & Jackie.

Family and friends will honor and remember her life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham on Friday, April 21 from 4 to 8 p.m.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning in St. George’s Church, 74 School St., Saxonville, at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.
