FRAMINGHAM – The first-ever Mural Mile Road Race and Kids Dash, sponsored by the Greater Framingham Running Club and the Framingham Downtown Renaissance, will be held on Saturday, May 6.
There will be a one-mile road race for all ages and a 200-meter dash for children ages 10 and under.
Registration proceeds sustain the Rich and Chris Chesmore Scholarship, which provides financial support for high school runners as they advance into higher education.
The event is rain or shine.

This event is an official ArtWeek Boston event, and it underscores physical well-being and participatory art in Downtown Framingham, said Framingham Downtown Renaissance Director Cortney Thraen.

Same-day registration will start at 7:30 a.m. in the Framingham MWRTA/Commuter Rail parking lot.
The cost to register for the mile is $15. One child can run the dash for free per adult registration. Additional child runners are $5 each.
The 1-mile race starts at 438 Franklin Street and ends at the downtown Common at 42 Franklin Street.
Heat one is for sub 10-minute milers. Heat 2 will start at 9:15 a.m. and is for 10-minute plus milers.
The 200-meter dash will start at 9;30 a.m. It starts at 64 Franklin Street and end at 42 Franklin Street at the downtown common.
