Jeannette (Wood) Merchant, 95

FRAMINGHAM – Jeannette F. (Wood) Merchant, 95, of Framingham (Saxonville), died Sunday, April 16, 2017.

Born in Natick, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Devine) Wood, and the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Merchant.

A graduate of Framingham High School, Jeannette was a life long resident of Saxonville. Her passion was her family, most particularly her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Ted & his wife Jane of Sturbridge, Jack & his wife Karen of Windham, NH, and Mike & his wife Carol of Franklin, her cherished grandchildren, Jay, Tracy, Joe, Kerry Friel, Beth Laverick, Jill McKenna, and Tim, her step grandchildren, Joshua, Nicole, and Jared Palmerino, and 5 great grandchildren.  Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Sheryl, her daughter in law, Sandra and her siblings, Ted Wood and Ginny Lema.

Family and friends will honor and remember her life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham on Thursday, April 20 from 4 to 8 p.m.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning, April 21 in St. George’s Church, 74 School St. Saxonville at 9 a.m.  Interment will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
