Senior Eric Tarlin, who plays alto saxophone, was awarded an outstanding musician award. Thirteen high schools competed on Saturday, March 18 at Norwood High School. Earlier this month, the Framingham High School Jazz Ensemble won a gold medal at the Massachusetts Association for Jazz Education’s Northeast District Senior Jazz Festival. Senior Eric Tarlin, who plays saxophone, was awarded the Most Valuable Player award, at that festival. Tarlin, Cesar Gray, who plays bass, and David Winters, who plays piano, were awarded outstanding musicianship awards.
