FRAMINGHAM – On Saturday, March 18, McCarthy Elementary School PTO will host its 3rdAnnual Chili Cook-Off and Brownie Bake-Off.
And this year, it has been expanded to include the Fuller Middle School’s community.
We have also added an international flair to the event too, said Amy Catalogna.
The event will now include “Feijoada, a traditional Brazilian dish, and Brigadeiro, a favorite Brazilian dessert,” said Catalogna.
Last year, more than 100 individuals attended the eventa nd sampled food. Every one received a bite size taste of chili and brownie.
The public is welcome to attend the event on Saturday, March 18 at Fuller Middle School from 4 to 6 p.m.
The event is a fundraiser for the school. Entrance fee is $3 per person or $10 per family. Plus, there will also be pizza sold at $1 a slice.
Those participating in the cook-off and bake-off can enter:
* All types of chilis and feijoadas will be represented: traditional, vegetarian, creative, and spicy …
* All types of brownies and brigadeiro will be there too; traditional, blondies, crunchy, salty …
There also will be activities for the kids to play after they are done sampling the food.
