Framingham’s Shabazz Honored As Hero at Boston Celtics Game

BOSTON – The Massachusetts State Lottery and the Boston Celtics honored Michelle Shabazz, of Framingham, for overcoming violence at the Celtics game against the Minnesota Timberwolves last night, March 15.

Established in 1997 by the Boston Celtics, The Heroes Among Us program recognizes outstanding individuals who have made exceptional and lasting contributions to their communities. The award is presented at every Celtics home game and pays tribute to the heroic achievements of these outstanding citizens.

Shabazz has shown her community the best way to overcome adversity is to never give up, said the Boston Celtics.

Incredibly, Michelle finds time to volunteer helping at risk teens reengage with school and to secure housing.”
