FRAMINGHAM – On April 4, 2017, those of us registered to vote in Framingham will have the opportunity to determine how Framingham does business in the twenty-first century.
I believe that the growth of Framingham, its budget and the responsibilities we place on our local government require that we vote yes on the Charter Commission’s proposal to reshape our local government. We need a more accountable government to respond to our needs in a timely manner. I will vote yes and urge my friends and neighbors to do the same.
The changes recommended by the Charter Commission will make local government more accountable, efficient and transparent. As Framingham competes with other municipalities for resources, it will speak with the clearer, louder voice of a mayor and council.
Please be sure to vote on April 4 and I hope you’ll vote “yes.”
