FRAMINGHAM – Sharon L. (Patrick) Haendel, 69 of Worcester, died, Wednesday, January 5, 2017 after a courageous battle with lung and bone cancer for a year and a half. She was a longtime resident of Framingham.
She was the wife of Doron Haendel for 20 years.
Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Robert Elwin Patrick, Sr. and Florence Doris (Smith) Patrick.
Sharon worked as a Senior Project Manager at an Insurance Company.
Besides her husband, Doron, she is survived by daughter Kaitlyn Kennedy of Marlborough; stepson, Jacob Haendel of Hudson; siblings, Carole Alt and her husband Timothy of Baltimore, MD, Robert Patrick, Jr. of Baltimore, MD; brother and sister-in-laws, Ronald Beswick Sr. of Baltimore, MD, Varda Ratner and her husband Adam of San Antonio, TX and Dan Haendel and his wife Ellen of Fairfax, VA. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Sharon was the sister to the late Leslie Beswick.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Wednesday, January 11, at 10 a.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St., (Corner of Union Ave.) Framingham. Burial will follow at Edgell Grove Cemetery, 53 Grove St. Framingham.
Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 – 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Mass General Hospital, Center for Cancer Research or to the charity of one’s choice.
